More than 700 days in the making. Years of long-distance, countless goodbyes, and a love that carried them through it all. When the day finally arrived for Ishra and Joe to become husband and wife, there was only one thing left to do: celebrate.

As Ish put it so perfectly in the film, “I can’t even cry, I am so excited to marry him.” And honestly, that says it all. Their day was filled with emotion, anticipation, laughter and the kind of joy that’s impossible to manufacture. With Joe spending years flying medical evacuation planes for Mission Aviation Fellowship in Timor Leste, the journey to this day looked a little different to most. But these two have a way of making you feel the depth of their love without ever needing to say much at all.

They’re genuinely some of the kindest, most servant-hearted people we know, and getting to capture this chapter of their story at the beautiful Stones of the Yarra Valley was a real privilege. Ishra and Joe, your love is something special, and we couldn’t be happier that you finally got your day.
